In a bit of news that slipped by me Johnstown, PA cruiserweight Andres Taylor will not be fighting WBA champion Guillermo Jones later this month. He will instead fight top ranked Rakhim Chakhkiev (15-0 12 KO) this Saturday, November 10, on the undercard of Wladimr Klitschko-Mariusz Wach in Hamburg, Germany.

Taylor was set to fight Jones late last month but that fight was postponed when Jones pulled out with an injury. The fight was thought to be rescheduled for late this month. That fight won't be happening for whatever reason and Taylor will fight Chakhkiev instead.

This will be the fifth fight for Chakhkiev this year. He has gone 4-0 with three knockouts so far this year. He has knocked out veterans Jaidon Codrington (KO-1), Zack Page (TKO-6), and Epifanio Mendoza (KO-9).

Chakhkeiv is ranked by the WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO. He is also ranked 10 by The Ring. Taylor, a former WBF All Americas cruiserweight champion, will be fighting for the third time this year. He is 1-1 so far this year and coming off of a win.

This is a big chance for Taylor and a win would be in the running for upset of the year.
