It has been confirmed that Micahel Katsidis will indeed fight Graham Earl in a rematch of their EPIC five round 2007 brawl. This is a fight that frankly shouldn't be happening.

Earl (26-4 12 KO) hasn't fought in two years and is only 1-3 in his last four fights. That includes the loss to Katsidis (27-4 22 KO), and two first round knockout losses, one to Amir Khan (forgivable), and another to unknown Henry Castle.

His "win" came against a guy who was 16-125-7 coming in, yes you read that right he had 125 losses. That isn't helping his case any as far as this fight goes.

Katsidis meanwhile has gone 5-4, but he has only lost to the top lightweights out there. This fight changed both men, I think so anyway, and took any remaining luster off of Earl. He just hasn't been the same since.

Earl is a shot fighter and Katsidis is on the down side of his career, but he is much better then Earl. He was better in 2007 and nothing has changed since then. Earl is the one who asked for this and he says he believes he could of won the first fight if not for the stoppage, but there is little evidence to that.

He wants to get back in there and try to beat Katsidis, I don't know if he needs the money or what, and I guess that is admirable, but this fight shouldn't be happening.

Katsidis is taking the fight to his home country of Australia and this is a bounce back fight for him, so he can gear up for something better.

The date has not been set yet.
