ABCO #10 flyweight Rey Migreno Singwancha 18-20-3, 16 KOs) shocked the Thai crowd as he scored a third round TKO over Thai legendary fighter Pongsaklek Wonjongkam (87-5-2, 46 KOs) on Thursday at the City Hall Square of Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Thailand.

After a close affair in the first two rounds, both fighters continuously exchanged vicious punches and finally the better man was Filipino Migreno who landed a well-timed right hook which sent the two-time WBC king to the canvas, then he displayed a one-sided attack which dropped the local hero again, forcing referee Nopparat Sricharoen to stop the bout at 2:06 of round three. Migreno captured WBC International flyweight title and also earned the biggest ever victory in his boxing career.

Wonjongkam was a great fighter but it appears he is on his last legs. He lost his title to Sonny Boy Jaro by knockout and now has been knocked out by a fighter with a record of 18-20-3. It appears Migreno has heavy hands but Pong would never lost to a fighter like this in his prime. Wonjongkam is extremely old at 35 to be fighting at flyweight and although he is one of my favorite fighters and one of the most underrated of his era I think it is time to hang the gloves up.
