I have brought back Monday Meet and Greet and will hopefully be keeping it up as it gives casual fans a chance to see some great talent that doesn’t get to grace U.S. television.

This week was a hard choice as a lot of great fighters unknown to U.S. fans scored big wins. I decided to go with the WBA super featherweight champion Takashi Uchiyama.

He defended this title for the third time against Takashi Miura coming off the canvas to score an exciting RTD-8.

Fight I Want to See: A all Japanese showdown with fellow titleholder Takahiro Ao would be a very interesting boxer vs. puncher matchup. It would be fun to watch it play out.

What is in his future: The fight with Ao will probably be his next fight. It will be huge in Japan and should make a lot of money for both fighters. This fight just makes the most sense for both.
