Paul Spadafora and Jesse Lubash Return to the Ring on September 28 in Pittsburgh.
Tom Yankello has announced via his Facebook page that Paul Spadafora, Jesse Lubash, Bill Hutchinson, and Joey Holt will return to the ring. Hutchinson posted on his Facebook page that the fights will take place on September 28 in Pittsburgh. No opponents have been announced.
The biggest fight will surely be the Spadafora (48-0 19 KO) fight which sees him return to the ring after his April win over Robert Frankel. This will be the second fight of the year for Spadafora.
Spadafora turned down a fight on HBO Latino with power punching prospect Thomas Dulorme. Spadafora and his team turned down the fight because they were being shortchanged on money.
Spadafora will look to continue up the ranks and get that elusive title shot.
Hutchinson (7-1-2 4 KO) is an all action fighter and improves every time out and hasn't lost in nine fights going 7-0-2 since dropping his debut in April of 2011. He has won his last four fights, knocking out two of those fighters.
Holt (4-0 3 KO) is keeping a busy schedule and will be fighting for the fourth time this year. He was forced to go the distance, a unanimous decision win in four rounds, for the first time in his last fight.
The big news, for me at least, is the return of former world ranked welterweight Jesse Lubash (15-0 8 KO). Lubash hasn't fought since 2011 when he beat Germaine Sanders over 8 rounds. He was world ranked in the division when he decided to take a job in Chicago and put his boxing career on hold.
Any fan of Pittsburgh boxing should be excited for his return as he is young at 28 and has time to pick up his career and make a run at a world title.
I will have more information as it becomes available.
